Blepharoplasty
Description
Blepharoplasty, commonly known as eyelid surgery, is performed to remove excess skin, muscle, and sometimes fat from the upper and/or lower eyelids to improve the appearance or function of the eyelids. The procedure typically begins with the administration of anesthesia, which can be either local anesthesia with sedation or general anesthesia, depending on the patient's needs and the surgeon's recommendation. For the upper eyelids, the surgeon makes an incision along the natural crease of the eyelid to remove or reposition fat deposits, tighten muscles, and trim excess skin. For the lower eyelids, the surgeon may make an incision just below the lower lash line or on the inside of the lower eyelid (a transconjunctival approach) to remove or redistribute fat, and possibly remove some excess skin. Once the necessary adjustments have been made, the surgeon uses fine sutures to close the incisions, which are strategically placed to minimize visible scarring. In some cases, supportive therapies like laser resurfacing may be employed to further enhance the skin's appearance around the eyes. Post-operative care includes guidelines on managing swelling and bruising, using prescribed ointments and medications to prevent infection, and advice on activities to avoid during the recovery period. Patients are typically advised to keep their head elevated, apply cold compresses, and protect their eyes from excessive sun exposure. Recovery can take a few weeks, with most patients experiencing notable improvements within a few months.
Ailments treated by this procedure: Under-eye Bags, Blepharospasm, Puffy Eyes, Dark Circles Under Eyes, Fine Lines and Wrinkles Around Eyes, Entropion, Ectropion, Loose Eyelid Skin, and Hemifacial Spasm

Eyelid & Eye Area Surgery Under-Eye Fat Repositioning (Erbium-assisted) — Redistributes lower eyelid fat to smooth the tear trough and reduce under-eye bags, using Erbium laser for delicate dissection. It preserves useful fat and reinforces support structures to achieve a brighter, more even under-eye contour with faster recovery. Lower Blepharoplasty — Removes or repositions excess skin and fat of the lower eyelids to treat puffiness and wrinkles. The procedure refines the lid–cheek junction for a smoother transition and more rested appearance. Upper Eyelid Fat Repositioning — Restores volume to hollow upper eyelids by releasing adhesions and advancing native fat to a more supportive position. It improves eyelid symmetry and openness while avoiding an overdone look. Eyelid Revision Surgery — Corrects issues after prior eyelid surgery such as asymmetry, scarring, or over/undercorrection. Techniques include layer-by-layer adhesion release, levator repositioning, and refined fat redistribution to restore natural function and shape. Epicanthoplasty Reversal — Reverses a prior inner corner procedure to rebalance the inner eye angle. It repositions skin and soft tissue with methods like V‑Y advancement and Z‑plasty to refine tear duct exposure and inner corner shape. Lateral Canthoplasty Reversal — Restores the outer eye corner after previous lateral canthoplasty when shape or exposure is undesirable. The lateral canthal tendon and tarsal plate are reset and stabilized to achieve a natural contour and reduce re-adhesion. Facelift & Lifting Surgery Mini Lift (SMAS Vertical Mini Lift) — Targets midface and jawline laxity through a short incision with vertical SMAS elevation. It releases retaining ligaments and lifts tissues in precise vectors to sharpen the jawline and cheeks with discreet scarring. Full Facelift — Comprehensively lifts and repositions facial and neck tissues to address jowls, deep folds, and neck bands. SMAS manipulation and tailored vector design create durable definition and balanced rejuvenation. Jawline Lift (V‑Line Jaw Lift) — Refines the mandibular line by vertically elevating the SMAS and tightening peri‑mandibular tissues. A micro‑incision behind the ear helps contour the lower face with minimal visible scarring. Thread Lifting — Uses dissolvable barbed sutures to lift mild to moderate laxity in areas like the cheeks and jawline. Results appear immediately and continue to improve as collagen forms along the thread paths. Chin & Neck Contouring Double Chin Liposuction and Platysma Tightening — Combines submental fat removal with platysmal muscle tightening to define the neck and improve the cervico‑mental angle. Selective treatment of deep fat or prominent digastric/salivary components further smooths the under‑chin profile. Nose Surgery Revision Rhinoplasty — Addresses functional or aesthetic problems after previous nose surgery, such as asymmetry, irregularities, or breathing issues. Structural grafting and support techniques rebuild stability and refine shape. Energy-based Lifting & Tightening Ultherapy — Micro‑focused ultrasound delivers energy to precise depths, including the SMAS, to tighten and lift the face and neck. Real‑time imaging guides shot placement for consistent collagen remodeling and contour improvement. Sofwave — Synchronous parallel ultrasound creates controlled thermal zones in the mid‑dermis to firm skin and soften wrinkles. It suits thin skin areas and focuses on perioral and periocular tightening with minimal downtime. Thermage FLX — Monopolar radiofrequency heats the dermis uniformly to contract collagen and stimulate new collagen synthesis. Treatment improves laxity and texture across larger areas such as the face, eyelids, and jawline. ONDA — Microwave energy targets adipocytes and dermal collagen to reduce small fat pockets while tightening skin. It refines uneven contours on the face and body with comfortable, non‑invasive sessions. Skin & Laser Dermatology Erbium:YAG Laser Resurfacing — Precisely ablates the epidermis and superficial dermis to smooth texture, tighten pores, and reduce fine lines and pigmentation. Controlled depth enables efficient treatment of scars and photoaging with accurate tissue sparing. RF Microneedling (Potenza) — Insulated microneedles deliver radiofrequency into the dermis to remodel collagen and improve scars, pores, and laxity. Multiple tip options enable tailored treatments and can be combined with boosters for enhanced glow. Laser Mole and Spot Removal — Targets benign pigmented lesions such as age spots and flat warts with selective photothermolysis. Accurate energy delivery preserves surrounding skin and promotes an even tone. Injectables Skin Booster Injections — Micro‑injections of hydrating or bio‑stimulating solutions improve elasticity, texture, and glow. They complement energy devices by enhancing dermal quality without adding bulk. Dermal Fillers — Hyaluronic acid fillers restore volume, contour features, and soften creases in areas like the cheeks, lips, and tear troughs. Precise placement prioritizes balance and natural movement. Regenerative Therapy Stem Cell (IV/Skin Injection) — Autologous blood‑derived components enriched in growth factors are prepared for intravenous or intradermal delivery to support repair and rejuvenation. Protocols emphasize sterile same‑day processing and individualized plans aligned with skin condition and goals.
