Face Thread Lift
Description
A face thread lift is a minimally invasive cosmetic procedure designed to lift and tighten sagging skin on the face and neck. The process begins with a consultation, during which a qualified cosmetic surgeon evaluates the patient’s skin condition, discusses goals, and determines the most suitable thread lift technique. On the day of the procedure, local anesthesia is administered to ensure patient comfort. The surgeon then makes tiny incisions at strategic points, through which medical-grade threads are inserted using a fine needle or cannula. These threads are typically made of biodegradable materials such as polydioxanone (PDO), polylactic acid (PLA), or polycaprolactone (PCA). The threads feature tiny barbs or cones that anchor them into the tissue, allowing the surgeon to reposition the skin and achieve a gentle lift. Once in place, the threads are adjusted to create the desired level of lift and support. The ends of the threads are trimmed, and the insertion points are closed if necessary. Over the following months, the threads stimulate the body's natural healing response, encouraging collagen production in the treated area. This increased collagen helps maintain the lift and improves skin texture and elasticity over time. The recovery period is relatively short, with most patients experiencing mild swelling or bruising that subsides within a week. Results from a thread lift typically last one to three years, depending on factors such as the patient’s age, skin quality, and lifestyle. Subsequently, the thread lift can be refreshed or supplemented with other cosmetic treatments as desired.
