Description
Lip reduction surgery, also known as cheiloplasty, is a cosmetic procedure aimed at decreasing the size of overly prominent lips to achieve a more balanced facial appearance. Postoperative care involves managing swelling and discomfort with prescribed medications, cold compresses, and following a soft diet to avoid disturbing the sutures. Patients are advised to keep their head elevated and to avoid strenuous activities for several weeks. Follow-up appointments are necessary to monitor the healing process and ensure optimal results. Most individuals can resume their normal activities within a week or two but full recovery might take a few months, allowing the final shape and size of the lips to settle.
