Thread Lift

A thread lift is a minimally invasive cosmetic procedure designed to lift and tighten sagging skin on the face and neck. The process begins with a thorough consultation with a qualified practitioner who evaluates the patient's skin condition and discusses the desired outcomes. Once the treatment area is marked, local anesthesia is administered to ensure patient comfort throughout the procedure. The practitioner then inserts medical-grade absorbable threads, usually made of polydioxanone (PDO), polylactic acid (PLA), or polycaprolactone (PCA), under the skin using a fine needle or cannula. These threads have tiny barbs or cones that grip the underside of the skin, allowing the practitioner to manipulate and reposition the skin to achieve a lifted appearance.

After the threads are strategically placed and adjusted, they anchor into the deeper layers of the skin, providing immediate lifting effects. Over the following months, the threads stimulate the body's natural healing response, promoting collagen production which further enhances skin texture, elasticity, and firmness. The procedure typically takes between 30 to 60 minutes, depending on the treatment area and the number of threads used. Following the procedure, patients may experience mild swelling, bruising, or discomfort, which usually subsides within a few days. Results can last from one to three years, depending on individual factors and the type of threads used. Post-procedure care includes avoiding strenuous activity and excessive facial movements for a few weeks to ensure optimal results.
