Thigh Liposuction

Thigh liposuction is a cosmetic surgical procedure designed to remove excess fat from the inner and outer thigh areas to create a more contoured and proportionate appearance. The procedure begins with the patient being administered either general anesthesia or local anesthesia with sedation, depending on the extent of the surgery and the patient's preferences. The surgeon makes small incisions, typically about 1 to 2 millimeters in length, in inconspicuous locations such as the groin area or near the buttocks. A sterile saline solution mixed with a local anesthetic and a vasoconstrictor is then injected into the targeted areas to minimize bleeding and facilitate fat extraction—a technique known as tumescent liposuction.

Next, a thin, hollow tube called a cannula is inserted through the incisions and moved back and forth to break up the fatty deposits. The dislodged fat is then suctioned out using a surgical vacuum or syringe attached to the cannula. Throughout the procedure, the surgeon carefully monitors the amount of fat being removed to ensure a smooth and symmetrical result. Once the desired contour is achieved, the incisions are closed with sutures or left to heal naturally if they are small enough. The treated areas are then wrapped with compression garments to reduce swelling and support the new contours as they heal. Recovery typically involves mild discomfort, swelling, and bruising, with patients advised to avoid strenuous activities for several weeks to ensure optimal healing and results.
