Description
An inlay filling is a dental procedure used to restore a decayed, damaged, or fractured tooth, often when the damage is too extensive for a traditional filling but not severe enough to require a crown. During the second visit, the dentist removes the temporary filling and ensures the permanent inlay fits perfectly in the prepared cavity.
