Eyelid Filler
Description
Eyelid filler is a non-surgical cosmetic procedure that involves the use of injectable fillers to address various issues related to aging around the eyes. It can help to treat hollowness, wrinkles, puffiness, or darkness under the eyes or can create a smoother transition from the lower eyelids to the cheeks. It’s ideal for those who have lost soft tissue volume due to ageing or who genetically have dark circles or hollow lashes. The procedure involves carefully injecting a small amount of dermal filler, usually Hyaluronic Acid (HA), into targeted areas around the eyelids to achieve the desired results. The entire procedure usually takes about 15-30 minutes and is performed under topical anesthesia. The doctor will first thoroughly cleanse the area around the eyes and then apply the anesthetic to numb the skin. Once the skin is numb, he/she will skillfully inject the dermal filler into the specified areas using a fine needle to ensure precision. The most commonly used fillers are Restylane and Juvederm, which are safe and FDA-approved. After the procedure, the patients usually experience slight swelling and redness, but these side effects typically subside within a few days. The results are immediate and last for up to a year, depending on the individual's skin characteristics and the type of filler used.
