Description
Breast augmentation, also known as augmentation mammoplasty, is a surgical procedure designed to enhance the size and shape of a woman's breasts. The first step in the procedure involves a detailed consultation with a board-certified plastic surgeon, during which the patient's health history, aesthetic goals, and expectations are discussed. The surgeon will also explain the different types of implants available, including silicone gel-filled or saline-filled implants, and help the patient choose the appropriate size, shape, and placement method. On the day of the operation, the patient is typically administered general anesthesia for complete comfort.
