Pseudoptosis
Description
Pseudoptosis, sometimes known as "glandular ptosis," "lower breast sagging," or “bottomed out breast,” describes a breast shape where the lower part looks full or droopy but the nipple itself stays above the breast crease (inframammary fold). Unlike true breast ptosis, where both the breast tissue and the nipple sag below the fold, pseudoptosis keeps the nipple in a normal, uplifted position with only the bottom half of the breast looking heavy or stretched. This condition is common after pregnancy, weight changes, or aging and can make finding the right support or clothing challenging. Popular treatments in Korea include innovative breast lift and augmentation options that restore fullness and shape without excessive scarring. If you notice your breasts feel heavy on the lower side but your nipples remain high, you may be experiencing pseudoptosis—a condition now treatable with advanced and natural-looking procedures offered by top Korean plastic surgery clinics.

Mamms Clinic in Sinsa is renowned for integrating aesthetic beauty with the functional aspects of the breast under the collaborative care of a plastic surgeon and a general surgeon. Our philosophy is rooted in achieving harmony and balance, inspired by the Greek ideals of beauty. Breast Reduction Vertical Scar Reduction: This technique minimizes scarring by focusing the incision around the areola and vertically down the breast. It provides effective reshaping and lifting for moderate reduction needs. Anchor Scar Reduction: Also known as the inverted T incision, this method is suitable for significant breast reduction. It involves three incisions to effectively remove excess tissue and reshape the breast contour. Breast Augmentation Implant Augmentation: Using high-quality implants, this procedure enhances breast volume and shape. The implants can be inserted through various incisions such as inframammary, periareolar, or transaxillary. Fat Transfer Augmentation: This method uses liposuction to harvest fat from other parts of the body and injects it into the breasts. It offers a more natural enhancement with the dual benefit of body contouring. Breast Lift Mastopexy: The procedure lifts and reshapes sagging breasts by removing excess skin and tightening the surrounding tissue. It aims to achieve a more youthful and elevated breast profile. Combined Lift and Augmentation: This dual approach simultaneously lifts and adds volume to the breasts. It’s ideal for women looking to restore fullness and correct significant sagging. Nipple and Areola Correction Inverted Nipple Correction: This surgery addresses the inversion of nipples, enhancing their appearance and function. It can involve minimal incisions and is often performed under local anesthesia. Areola Reduction: This procedure reduces the size of the areola to match the overall breast proportion. It's often combined with other breast surgeries for optimal results. Additional Procedures Axillary Breast Removal: This technique removes excess breast tissue in the armpit area, often referred to as accessory breasts. It improves both comfort and aesthetic appearance. Gynecomastia Surgery: Male breast reduction surgery removes excess glandular tissue and fat to achieve a masculine chest contour. Depending on the case, it may involve liposuction and/or gland excision. Mamms Clinic uses advanced AI technology like Crisalix for virtual simulations and employs diagnostic tools (X-ray and ultrasound) to ensure precise and safe surgical planning. We aim for optimal aesthetic outcomes while maintaining the health and functionality of breast tissue.
