I had an accident with my cat where he clicked me in a moment of panic with his back legs and left really deep wounds all along my lower arm. I was very worried it was going to leave deep scars so whilst it was healing I went for scar laser treatment. I went 3-4 times and now 8 months later the scars are almost invisible. Nobody has noticed it. It wasn't painful. They put special cream on my arm and I was put each time for about 20-30 minutes under laser light to heal the wound/scar.
